It seems almost all of our garden plants have been gifts. Gifts and lessons... the wisteria was for Mother's day one year.
Pictures of the wisteria from this spring... the blooms only last two weeks...
...reminds me to appreciate gifts as they are given... 
The lilac, from Mom and Dad, to celebrate Max's birth - it has taken many years but finally blooms faithfully each spring. Lilacs must teach patience.
